Microsoft has renamed the MSNDAA program DreamSpark
Premium. All Miscrosoft MSDNAA pages will now be labeled DreamSpark.
The Computer Science Department is a member of the Microsoft
DreamSpark Premium. This allows KU students currently enrolled
in a Computer Science course to be eligible to receive a variety of Microsoft software. This includes Operating Systems, development tools, and some
application software. It does NOT include Microsoft Office.
The DreamSpark software is provided by the Computer Science Department as a service
to our students but is hosted and supported by Microsoft. The Computer Science
Department does not offer support for problems encountered during the download
or installation process.

How can I install software on my off-campus
computer?
If you want to install on you own
machine off-campus, you may want to check the size of the download first. If it
is large, you may want to download it overnight or from an on-campus computer.
If do not have high-speed Internet, it is best not to download using that
connection. If you choose to download from an on-campus computer, save it to a high-capacity flash
drive. Alternatively,
you can bring a blank writable CD into the lab, download locally & immediately
write to your disk (keep in mind that files saved to the local hard drive of lab
computers will be erased when the computer is rebooted). For most of this software, you will need to keep track
of your license number as well.
